A trailing perennial from Southern Africa with slender leaves that gives it its common name of "String of Needles". Tubular flowers are off white and magenta.
Ideal for hanging baskets as they can trail more than a metre, best grown in part shade or can be indoors in a light position.
Like all succulents they require free draining soil and little water.
Can be planted on their own or mixed with other succulents to add texture to a waterwise garden or balcony.
