Hatiora is a genus of rainforest epiphytes from Brazil growing on tree branches where water drains off quickly so that dry conditions prevail much of the time. The stems are flattened and joined one to the other. Flowers appear from areoles at the tips.

Suitable for a partly shaded position. Their drooping habit makes them ideal for hanging baskets. They enjoy high humidity. Take care not to let the soil dry out completely or part of the stems will drop. Frost intolerant.
